Spike and Babe

A book by Philip Jorgensen

Literary Fiction · Completed · Available now

Squirrel watching is fine as far as it goes. But newly retired Harold Miller is not content squirreling away his Golden Years from a porch.

He is bored.

Maybe the motorcycle he wished for in his youth would bring some excitement back into his life? To his surprise, and after a fair amount of sweet-talking, his wife Gwen swallows her reservations and goes along for the ride. With their new wheels, full leather biker outfits, and whole new personas, they saddle up for adventures that push them out of their comfort zone into a heart-warming self-discovery with every tick of the odometer. From a run-in with a vindictive skunk, a pet squirrel funeral, a police chase, and much more. . . Spike and Babe is one road trip you will not want to miss.

Philip Jorgensen

By day Philip is a Youth Pastor. Often at night too, Philip is a youth pastor. It's kind of a round-the-clock thing, you know. But sometimes, every so often, Philip is also a writer. His first book, Spike and Babe he wrote alongside his Grandma Jane. He is currently working on a memoir about his time in high school wondering if God loved him, a curriculum about identity in Christ, and a collection of fairy tales based on the book of Proverbs.

Philip met his wife, Bianca, in college when they were partnered to do a team speech on long distance relationships since Bianca was in one at the time. Three years later (and one long-distance boyfriend less) Philip and Bianca fell in love and have been married for over twelve years. They have three kids, all three of which have names from popular childrens books. Philip has been to every continent besides Antartica, he likes trees, and he hopes you enjoy whatever it is you might be about to read from him.
